Today I just want to say how thankful I am for my husband and son, and for the father my husband is to our our son. He has been working hard over the last year to make positive changes in our home, and I’m really proud of and inspired by him. Here is my prayer for him today based on Ephesians 3:14-21.
I kneel before you, Father, thanking you for the family you have given me. I pray that out of your glorious riches, you would strengthen my husband with power through your Spirit in his inner being, so that Christ may dwell in his heart through faith. And I pray that he, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all your holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep the love of Christ is, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge so that he may be filled with the presence, power, and riches of God and Christ.
Lord, you are able to do immeasurably more than all I could ask or imagine for my husband according to your power that is at work within all of us. To you be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
